Music Binge

I sometimes tend to go weeks without buying new music, and then all of a sudden, the floodgates open and my wallet is laid bare on the counter...screaming about bills that need to be paid. But I have paid all my bills I say...then I suffer the irrational guilt..My wallet then laughs at me..hahaha!!!

Why do I do this to myself? Because I'm sure I'm off my rocker and so afraid of spending a dime on myself without the major guilt trip. Music is my passion. I should have been a singer or something..but I can't read a lick of music. I sing in the shower and sometimes at work, much to the shagrin of my co-workers.

But here, my tangent is getting away from me..and from the real reason for my post tonight.

I have gone on a music buying spree..okay a spree for me!

Bought Chantal Kreviazuk's newest..Ghost Stories. BRILLIANT!! I love her! This one is even better than my favorite "Color Moving and Still". I didn't care too much for her previous recording "What if it all means something", it was a bit too commercial pop for me. This one though, is fantastic!

Bought KT Tunstall's newest as well...Eye to the Telescope. This one is cool too. If you like bluesy strong vocals, you will like this one too. Saw her on Saturday night on "Soundstage" on PBS. She's awesome live. I'll have to go if she ever comes here to play.

Also, pre-ordered the Barnes & Noble special edition of "The Piano". No, not the movie..the new TORI AMOS BOX SET!!!! I can hardly contain my excitement over this one! This is the only provider who is offering the 6 CD Set as opposed to a 5 CD Set. Wheeee! It may not be "new" Tori, but apparently it has lots of B-Sides and unreleased material on it..so it's kindof new stuff. Hopefully this will tide me and countless other fans of hers until her next album of all new material. I liked The Beekeeper, but I didn't love it. I hardly listen to it. But, if you were lucky enough to pick up the limited edition of this, the song Garlands...ah...what an amazing piece. It was worth the 25 dollars I spent on it for that one song..

Superdog is sleeping as I'm listening to Chantal. I think he likes it too.

You deserve good stuff (music inc.)
Superdog seems to be enjoying it too. I swear Blue was trying to sing along to Kelly Clarkson the other day. She was almost whisteling to the notes. Very cool!
